TIPS FOR LEADERS
By the grace of God, some of you will be led to pray hard for the winds of revival to sweep across the land. Some of you will be moved by the Spirit to take an active role in spreading His Word to others. Maybe you have a friend who's starting to indicate an interest in spiritual matters? That could be the perfect opening to show them the "Jesus is Lord" page, and the "Romans Road to the Kingdom of God" outline. Or maybe there’s a family member who looks to you for spiritual support and guidance? This is where the four-point FEARJAH presentation on the Home page comes into play. How so? Because the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10), and getting wisdom is the wisest thing we can do! (Proverbs 4:7). Whichever way God guides you to use this resource, please consider the following five tips for leaders:
First and foremost, prepare yourself before you prepare your message. In other words, make sure you're a vessel fit for the Master’s use. To wage war in the spirit world requires spiritual resources. Therefore, you should conduct a pre-combat self examination to ensure you're fit to fight the good fight of faith. See 2 Corinthians 13:5; 1 Timothy 6. Are you walking in the fear of the LORD? Are you alert to the wiles of the evil one? Is your flesh in check? Are you equipped with the whole armor of God? See Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Timothy 2:20-26.
Then, pray for yourself and for those who will hear and see the Word of God. Pray that the LORD will open their eyes to His Truth: “Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me” (Psalm 119:18-19). Pray that JAH will open their hearts to His Truth: “And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul” (Acts 16:14).
The reason we pray is to acknowledge our need for help from on High. Because if God doesn’t bless our efforts, we work in vain. We do our part. We do our best, but ultimately, we rely on the Lord. “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain” (Psalm 127:1). "The horse is prepared for the day of battle; but victory is with Yahweh" (Proverbs 21:31). We do our part, we prepare our horse. But we know who holds the reins to our success.
Always allow Holy Scripture to speak for itself. Don’t attempt to over-explain a verse or a passage. Try to avoid any denominational leanings, political spin or personal bias. The Word of God is alive and ready for action. Just unleash it! Trust that the Holy Spirit will energize the Word of truth to break through the barriers of unbelief and doubt. “For the word of God is quick and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). Also see 1 Thessalonians 2:13-16. The word of God works in those who believe!
When we do speak, we speak the truth in love. Why? Because it’s the love of God that compels us to share His Word. It’s the love of God that causes us to obey His Word. And it’s the love of God that moves us to love all the people of the world. “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Since God is love, and since we are called to be imitators of this God of love, then we are commanded to walk in love! See Ephesians 5:1-7; 1 John 4:7-11. It's a good thing to remember - if I "don't have love, I am nothing" (1 Cor.13:2)!
Finally, pray for our country. America is a mess. Pray for a revival in our land. The mission of FEARJAH.COM is to galvanize a critical mass of believers who will call upon the Most High God for spiritual restoration and national revival. There's much work to do. The devil has this country by the throat! Satan is the great Divider. He wants us to believe the person of the other political party is your mortal adversary. He would have us believe there's not enough of the good stuff to go around. He has us thinking the person of the other race or gender is your sworn enemy. Instead of fearing the LORD, Lucifer wants us to fear each other. "That serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world", works day and night to blind us to the truth of God's Grace, Love and Abundance. See Revelation 12:9, John 10:10 and 2 Corinthians 4:3-4.
Please read and share the book, "The Spiritual Awakening of America." I trust you'll agree that our nation is in trouble. However, we serve a good God! He's an awesome and all-powerful God! And by leaning on the sacred principles of 2 Chronicles 7:13-14 and 16:9, we will set in motion the winds of revival and restoration! NOW is the time to break free from the snares of our true enemy.
